Where's the Story?

Shortly after ''TeleAbsence'' appeared in Analog magazine, I decided to make it available freely to all via my webpage. For a few months, I licensed it to the Dark Planet webpage for free.

I suspect it was all this extra publicity that got the story nominated for the Hugo Award in 1996.

In 1997, I decided to try something else with the story. I leased it to the Mind's Eye Fiction webpage (which used to be at tale.com), run by Ken Jenks, which offered the first half of the story for free, and charged a nominal fee for the second half. I kept the story there from February 1997 to October 2000.

But now the story is available for purchase in its entirety at Fictionwise.com! Click on that link and you can download a copy.
