_AWARD NEWS_

Well, last month Nomi and I attended the Nebula Awards Banquet in New York City because my novella, "Reality Check," was up for an award in its category. For those of you who haven't heard yet, it was not the winner. However, before the Nebulas Weekend was held, I did receive news that "Reality Check" was nominated for the Theodore Sturgeon Memorial Award for Best Short Fiction of 1999. It's on a list of about fifteen nominated stories, so I don't expect it to win, but it's nice to note because this particular story has now been nominated for two awards I've never been up for before.

_OUT RIGHT NOW_

The July/August double issue of ANALOG is out, and I have the shortest piece in the whole thing: "If Ben Franklin Had Gotten His Way." I read this story aloud at the Nebula Weekend signing at the Union Square Barnes & Noble, and there was much laughter, so it just may be worth the cost of the whole issue to see the "Special Feature" for yourself.

_COMING SOON_

Remember last issue, when I said I might be getting another magazine cover? Well, I still don't want to say anything more that might tempt fate, but I thought I'd let you know that this is much closer to becoming a reality.

_UPCOMING APPEARANCES_

Please note that Nomi and I will _NOT_ be able to attend Chicon2000, this year's Worldcon. However, we do expect to be at the Millennium Philcon next year.
